Astrarium is a slow, solitary game about drifting to the edge of known space and drawing the map that doesn't exist yet — one star, one current, one silence at a time.
No radar, no minimap. Your position is a guess you refine by hand, sighting old light against your own drawn chart.
Stellar currents pull your hull for hours of game-time. Sleep through them, or fight the pull and burn fuel you'll want later.
Every body you chart gets a name of your choosing, written into a shared, persistent atlas other captains will sail through.
The sextant finally lies to you correctly. Instrument drift now compounds with hull temperature — read it too fast after a burn and your triangulation quietly rots.
Shared atlas is live in the playtest branch. Names you leave on a body now persist for the next captain who drifts through your sector, misspellings and all.
Cut the combat prototype entirely. It kept turning Astrarium into a different, louder game. The hull can still be damaged — only by currents, never by anything with intent.
